    Should engine idle be higher with SLP CAI?

    Alright well I just got my SLP CAI in my car about a day ago. The performance is a definite increase, tons more power. But I did notice something, my car idles at around 1,000-1,100 rpm now as opposed to about 800rpm. Is this normal because the engine is taking in more air?

    No this is not right my car even with a cam and heads and every mod in the book still ideld at 700-800rpms

      Any thoughts as to what would have an effect then? It was idling fine before the CAI got put in.

        Did you plug the sensor back in?

          he means the IAT sensor.

            if u dotn have the sensor plugged in then you have a vaccum leak somewhere

              Really strange...yeah, everything is plugged in correctly. I just went out and started the car, perfect idle at around 800. Not sure what happened but it's fine now.
