You will lose back pressure is all. Low end will probly drop off some. No there isn't any way I know of to pass emisions with out one.

you can use a O2 Simulator. This 02 sim will help from throwing codes. But it still probly wont pass emissions.

You won't notice any gains. I've ran my 3.4 with a gutted cat, no cat, and eventually a generic high flow cat. I've been the most satisfied with the latter set-up. Our engines must have some backpressure to operate properly. I tried a no cat, straight pipe set-up and I lost all kinds of low end. The car could barely get going. Granted that if I floored it and kept it above 4000 rpms, it ran fine. I think the straight pipe+!cat combo is the worst thing you could do to a 3.4. In my opinion, leave the cat on and get a quality cat-back exhaust put on.

I don't have emmisions in my county so I can't answer that question. Sorry.

where is the o2 sensor? Can it be used inside a high flow cat like random tech?

To answer the question about passing emissions with a gutted cat -

You will fail the test. Very badly.

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
