cat welded?

is the cat on a 97 fbod welded to the I pipe, I know its welded on the Y-pipe side, but on my friends LT1 camaro he was able to unbolt his cat from the rest of his exhaust on the I pipe side

Mine is welded on both ends.

1997 Y87 Camaro with a motor and some stuff.
