    An Aero-turbine muffler:

    http://www.aero-turbine.com/

the inside acts like the wing of an airplane. When the air passes on the outside of the round thing the air the velocity is increased and theoretically the pressure is decreased, causing a suction of exhaust from the muffler.

This is what I had thought might be the way it works. I know how an airplane wing works, but dont know if this "really" actually does what it says. Spendy, but they do come with a lifetime warranty.

I dunno... it's sound like a good idea, but so did that air tornado thing you drop into your intake that increases your mpg.

the guy at the muffler shop tole me they have installed them on hondas and they dont make the rice sound. and he said after he installed one on a v6 intrepid he tried to buy it from the guy because it sounded so good. he told me they make v6 rigs sound less ricey and more like a v8. i heard a dakota with one and i thought it "was" a v8. i dont know how they would make our cars sound, but the hondas on the site didnt sound too ricey at all.

Why is that exactly? Some of the claims are obviously dubious, like:
The AeroTurbine® breakthrough, based on thermodynamics and jet engine technology, literally accelerates the flow of exhaust away from the engine...
              and

When the incoming exhaust air stream enters the AeroTurbine® it is rapidly expanded due to the properties of heat transfer...
Is there any reason why it wouldn't
              A)muffle the exhaust
              B) make more power
              ?

I am in school for Aerospace Engineering... and it made me say WTF? There is no way to increase airflow speed without out help. I guess as long as it sounds good and doesn't restrict the engine much... oh well. I would prefer to hear one on a 3.8 with no Cats to see how it sounds. But I doubt it is not worth the high price for it.
When was the last time you saw a V-6 Mustang sit and smoke both 285mm Tires?

Some Lincoln LS guys that I deal with looked into it also and weren't too impressed. With all of the other options out there for a muffler, why go with this one?
