What was the difference in 2001 when the LS1 went from 305-310 hp? And if I had an 305 hp LS1 could I do the mod myself. I heard it has something to do with an removing an external "EGR" valve. Any input would be great, thanks.

I believe that the EGR tube/valve was removed from the intake... but this was because of a different cam profile. So, I believe the power increase occurred with the ever so slightly hotter cam (which also just so happened to allow for that EGR tube to be rid of).2002 Camaro SS 6 Spd
Sebring Silver Metallic
Still breaking it in
Traded in - 2002 V6 5 Spd Camaro.
\"I\'ll never trust squirrels again.\"

They may have increased the overlap on the cam....I was reading a thing on the LT4, and that's what they did, it had enough overlap that it didn't need an external EGR system.Wife and a dog, they both think they\'re Kujo.

1999 3.8 A4 Y87
Navy Blue Metallic
BFG G-Force KDWS 275/40/17s,
WS6 Wheels (17x9)
Phoenix Transmissions 2400 Stall Converter
FRA, Holley Powershot filter, Whisper Lid, Ported Throttlebody
2000 manifolds, Flowmaster, WS6 Tail Pipes,
MSD 8.5mm Wires, MSD Coils, Autolite plugs
Performance Cryogenics treated rotors
1LE Sway Bars and panhard rod, 1LE front springs w/SLP Bilsteins, stock rear springs w/ 3rd Gen Bilsteins, BMR STB, KBDD SFCs, 1LE rear lower control arms, 1LE front lower control arms
1968 Chevelle Malibu 327 TH350
