  • Flowmaster on Dynomax

I have a 40 seris Flowmaster i bought for my 3.8 camaro set up for single exhaust pipe my Friend just gave me his Dynomax cat back but his muffler is set up for Duel Exhaust. I need another inlet for my Flowmaster so i can run duel exhaust pipes can i buy this or maybe cut off the dynomax and put it on? Anyone done this? I work at a welding shop so welding is no problem. Thanks

Honestly dude, it would be too much work. I don't know a lot about the construction of mufflers but I know the flowmasters are chambered mufflers. I'd be afraid there wouldn't be a baffling or something like that or maybee the exhaust flow will be unequal. If I were you, I would return the 40 series muffler, and depending on what type of sound you like either put the dynomax on or get another dual outlet muffler, they're not that expensive dude.

You need another inlet or outlet? I have a single in/out 40 series on my car with dual tips. My exhaust guy is a genius! Either cut another outlet hole or add a small Y pipe near the muffler and hand the second pipe. No big deal at all.

I think adding a Y pipe would be the best way to go i dont want to cut a new hole in my Flowmaster than then mess up the sound. I cant return it cause its been 90 days snice i got it
