Nice.
I have been thinking of doing something like that but whats a good way to cut those metal sheets?
And whats a good way to bolt them on there? It will suck if those things came off while going 80mph cuz it will probably slice up the tire really easily.

Well, the thing was one piece. I used heavy duty scissors to cut it, but made sure to only cut what I needed and leave enough material back to preserve it's strength.

As for attaching it. I drilled 2 holes in the car frame(plastic parts) and used one of the existing holes from the flap that is at the bottom of the cavity area. Then drilled 3 holes in the metal and used some bad a$$ bolts with double nuts to secure it. I took it up to about 60mph and didn't hear even a rattle.

I'm pretty confident it will hold.

THe only question left is will it give me 15's

Thanks for the encouragement. Results coming soon!

Plastic??? what plastic parts

The only plastic was the underpart of the car that I drilled a couple holes into to bolt the scoop on.

The scoop is aluminum and I used heavy duty scissors.

DId I answer your question??

Well, the test for the scoop was inconclusive.

My first run of the day was 15.84 without it.

After installing it I bested 15.85 but I had traction problems all day and there were lots of other experimenting with launching and nittos... so I can't really say if it helped, or how much.

Bottom line it looks cool and I got 15's

Good luck to anyone who tries it out. I will put it on in the future at the track.
