Re: SLP Lid fit?
the v8 lids have the outlet in the center so it will not be a straight shot into your tb unless you get a v6 lid. I would try and find a v6 lid or go with a K&N kit

Re: SLP Lid fit?
97rs has it right ^ not as effective airflow as a 3800 lid.
but i've seen it done so i know it can work --- just wont be quite as efficient. the one's i remember used dryer duct or tubing of some sort to get to the tb.
stick with ur shaved lid setup until you track down a whisper for sale and get it done right mang.Last edited by BallerMaro13; 02-14-2010, 11:38 PM.pacesetters|full 3" borla exhaust|3" stainless e-cutout|slp cai & ram intake|c/f whisper lid|tbs|eibach|kyb|stb|sfc's|adj.lca's & phb|slp fan|b&m t5|180*|z06 17x9.5|8000k hids|hptuners|d/s rotors

Re: SLP Lid fit?
straight > curved for flow from lids. Wait and find a v6 one if you are not in a hurry

Your shaved lid, with some straight piping to the TB is greater then a SLP lid, with bent tubing everywhere.
stick with what you have until you can do it right.Last edited by BallerMaro13; 02-16-2010, 11:42 AM.pacesetters|full 3" borla exhaust|3" stainless e-cutout|slp cai & ram intake|c/f whisper lid|tbs|eibach|kyb|stb|sfc's|adj.lca's & phb|slp fan|b&m t5|180*|z06 17x9.5|8000k hids|hptuners|d/s rotors

Part 4: Suspension Mods, Tires, Wheels, Headers and other Cool Stuff.

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...02-07-2020, 10:30 PM
