It's not broke. Everyone's gas gauge is off. It's just another kwality GM design feature.

Here's a conversion guide. You can print this page out, and tape it to your dash:

Way Past Full ACTUALLY MEANS Full
Full ACTUALLY MEANS Half A Tank
Half Full ACTUALLY MEANS Under A Quarter Tank
Quarter Full ACTUALLY MEANS You're Out Of Gas When We Get To The Top Of This Hill
Almost Empty ACTUALLY MEANS You Ran Out Of Gas 20 Miles Ago

The only way to fix it is to only drive uphill.

Sounds like your fuel level sending unit is out of whack?

oaky...the installer just pushed the needle in too far...

open the cluster and slide a fork under the needle and carefully get some space between the white face insert and the base of the needle.

my tach will stick sometimes w/ my insert and i have to push on the clear cover to get it to unstick itself...

            it's worse in the humidity.
