  • Oil Pressure question

One more thing. I have an oil leak in my rear main seal and I don't know if its the reason my oil pressure is looking lower. Can that have a major affect on the preformance on a car?

    Re: Oil Pressure question

Unless it is pouring out like crazy , then no. if it is just leaving little oil spots then your oil pressure should still be good along with performance, unless you have a bearing going out.

      Re: Oil Pressure question

Mine has a slight rear main seal leak and I can notice a very slight difference in oil pressure when it's leaking. Typically this is when the car is hot and sitting at a stop. The needle will slightly dance at each end of the 60psi mark.

How much lower is your oil pressure?

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...
