  • Cant get rid of coolant leak!

    I have a 1997 3.8 camaro 5 speed 153,000 miles

I have replaced the water pump, upper and lower radiator hoses, belt tensioner assembly(broke a seal trying to get it off) little 90 degree plastic coolant elbow. I though the coolant elbow was to blame but it is still leaking rather slowly. I find the coolant collecting on the rack and pinion steering and the bottom front part of the engine. No overheating or anything, probably wouldnt even notice if it wasnt for the smell of coolant when driving.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

      Upper intake manifold leak possible??

      No antifreeze in oil..looks fine.

All problems started when the water pump gave out. I replaced it and flushed the coolant and now I have the coolant problem.

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...
