  • Raven is misfiring...please help.

Okay... so awhile back I found that after an oil change I had problems with the engine stalling... this was a change where i cheaped out and went to Penzoil Oil Changers. I thought they got some water on something when they topped up the coolant as it's been fine for over a month....well it went away until today.

Here are the symptoms... The 'security' and check engine lights flash on an off for a second or two accompanied by a huge power loss and slight jerking motion... it usually straightens itself out and has been very sporadic.

Today the car failed to start... it would turn over, but no ignition... checked fuel pressure and it was fine.

Let the car sit for 1/2 hour, hooked up Autotap, didn't find any codes. Turned the key and she fired... drove an hour home from the track no problems. Turne dit off, then went out for short drive and got the flickering/power loss again.

So could it be spark?(the plugs and wires are less than 1year old).
    ICM?(how do i test?).
    Coils?
    Fuel filter?
    Fuel injectors?
I think i've ruled out bad gas because of the length of time between episodes.

What am i missing and how do i test some of these...
    THanks!

heres what you do take auto tap, hook iot up start recording and drive till it happens save the file. make sure you get a good run IE time b/f it happens, while its happing and time after its happing. the go home and review the results something will change and then tell us what it is.

umm i just rember it could be your ICM cutting out too, one day it will just die if that is it.
