I am looking for a set of 96 3.8 heater hoses. Chevy does not make them and I can't find a parts store that even has them in there computer. Even E-bay does not have them. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Pat.

If your talking about the funky crimped metal-rubber masterpiece that some fluids engineer at GM thunk up, I think most people just cut off the factory crimps and put on molded hose rather than replace the unit as a whole. They autoparts stores sell them in pieces. At least they do for my 95 last I checked.

Are you talking about the hoses that come off the belt tensioner assembly and go to the heater core? If so GM makes them and I picked up the hose myself a few years back for less than a hundred from gmpartsdirect.com

good luck, I didn't have tools to get bolt out that hose mounted to car between the motor and the wheel well and had to have dealer do it.

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...
