    it dont sound like a rod knock, its a slight tick, but its not a normal sound, could it be a rocker?? im just hopein it aint a rod!!

    i had a little noticable tick one time turned out to be my worn out pcv valve.

      do you have headers on it, if so you might want to check to see if the bolts have backed their way out. mine did that.

        A tick, tick, tick sound is usually either exhause leak at the header/manifold or lifter tap.

          It could be the infamous injector tick

            My car makes a tick when I 1st turn it on. Once I give it a couple minutes it goes away. It's been like this since the 1st day I bought it.

              does is have enough oil in it? sometimes if ur a qt. low it will click.....i dont know that from personal experiance though.
              I\'m so used to doing so much with so little, I can do anything with everything!

                oils fine, i was thinkin it was a lifter or an exhaust leak, im gonna investigate more tonight!!, i just replaced my plugs too so maybe one backed out a lil we shall see, and thanks for the idea's guys!

                  I had my 97 in the dealer twice for the noise and was told there was nothing wrong with it. My 98 is makeing the same noise so I don't worry about it any more. Would like to know where it comes from though.
