top or under?.....how do you yank these motors

gm instals from under, can they come out from top?

yep they can come out the top....I've seen some people just pull them right out...you may have to slant it sideways as you pull it, or you might have to take off some of your intake, etc. to give enough clearance

I am wondernig the same thing. I want to keep all the accessories on when i put it in. Would it still be able to fit? How about the tranny.

When I swapped my brothers 3.4 for a LT1 we left the tranny on the 3.4 but it wasn't such a good idea. It broke some of the plastic where the windshield wipers sit and I was afraid if it where any tighter that it would've cracked the windshield. When dropping in the Lt1 the tranny had to come off, no doubt about it. Trust me without a transmission jack and a lift it sucks putting that tranny back in there. Its heavy.
