You mean the keyless unit that sits under the rear interior panels, or the remote it'self? If for the unit, keep an eye on ebay or contact this guy http://www.stores.ebay.com/id=11781074&ssPageName=L2 I just saw one on there for $20 and it didn't sell. As for the remote, they are all over ebay.

You can just contact him, and let'em know what you need. The auction I was talking about had ended already, and the guy didn't re-list it yet.

most likely, if your car came with keyless entry, it just need a new remote to make it work.

the 98+ cars (at least the V8's i think the V6 are the same way) have the keyless entry built into the BCM so you really can'r remove it, without replacing it with one from a non keyless car. (not easily done, as this gives a problem with vats)

          $16-32 from ebay,

directions how to program are on www.installuniversity.com

the keyless entry module is under the dash and is part of the body control module, i think he was consfusing it with the shock sensor, that is next to the spare tire, under the passenger side cover

The BCM in my 2000 bird is up under the passenger side of the dash, behind the glove box.

If your bird is working OK, then you should have a BCM in it. Are you sure your car originally had keyless entry? Like Ryan said, the only way to actually remove it from the car (if it originally had it) would be to replace the BCM with a non-keyless entry BCM, and they would have to re-program VATS or disable VATS completely to get it to work.

Assuming you have a keyless entry BCM and just need the keyfob remote units, the part number is 16245100-29. Just search for this number on ebay.

If for some reason you DONT have a keyless entry BCM, there's a guy on ebay who sells the keyless entry BCMs complete with keyfobs, and programs them for you VATS key. His Ebay ID is 350bam:

                    http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...&since=-1&rd=1

He's got one for sale on there right now.
I got one a few weeks ago for $85, and installed it in my 2000 Firebird that did not originally come with keyless entry or alarm. Works great! Now I have keyless antry AND the alarm (still need the shock sensor though) and all I had to do was unplug my old BCM and plug the new one in. The keyfobs I got were in very good condition and both had good batteries.

                    Hope this helps.

If your going to go thru the trouble of putting in Keyless entry. GET the one from the VETTE. It has proximaty sensor, so you don't even have to push a button.
