  • need cheap mods

    what are a few things that i could do that dont involve money that i could do to my 3.8 and also is a stock 5spd or a stock auto quicker in the 1/4. if i build a race car should i go stick or auto. i have a budget of two working hands a garage full of gadgets and no money whatsoever. my dreams of my new drag car will come later though

    Uhh...is it an auto or stick? Not very clear on that one

    Anyways, here is a free mod you can do.

    It says it is for a V8 but will work for a V6, if you don't mind cutting you car. Don't expect a big change from it, but people say it helps at higher speeds. You can also take off your MAF screen, though that is arguable on the gains it gives. That's about all I can think of that is free.

      i have a automatic. but want to put all my extra money into my drag camaro that i will build and still make my regular driver a little faster. a new mustang passed me and i think it was a v6. i was mad at the fact he actually got around me but he did have a 10 car link jump before i knew he was passing me. come on guys we cant let the mustangs takeover the world ha ha.

        At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
        Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...
