    R-12 or R-134A

    edit: it should say onthe compressor, or near the blower motor. (at least on my vehilces it does)

      1996 should be R134a.

      im fairly sure 94 was the cutoff date for the R12 by the EPA, not sure when GM switched on the f- platform

        my 93 used 134a when i still had an AC in the car, so your 96 deffinetly uses it

          thanks guys.. got the stuff in.


          ac blows at 40 degree's now according to my trusty ol thermo in the vents,,

          BRRR.
