  • Weatherstripping help Please

ok well the inside of my floor is wet when i get into it afet it has rained heavily. Its probably a leak in my hatch weatherstripping or my doors. So my question is.

How hard is it o replaced the hatch weatherstripping? Doors? T tops?

And where is the best placed to get it for the best deal?

My mechanic has quoted me around $600 for parts and then another $500 or so for labor.

    That seems highly unreasonable

I had the same problem. Its most likely not the door seal but the rear hatch seal, the way the hatch is designed it pools water pretty easily.

Open your hatch and take out the rear trunk speaker panels. Get some black silicone and seal under the weatherstripping - where it meets the metal.

This solved my problem, other then that its also a good idea to get in your car and have someone spray water on/ let it rain and watch for leaks.
