  • underdrive crank pulley?

    ok i didnt know where to put this exactly so it may get moved but i was looking into an underdrive crank pulley for my car a 3.4l. do you guys say it is worth it and bow much of a 1/4 increase would i see .10 or so?

    Yeh man get one its only like 50 bucks...I'll be getting one soon. They say it adds like 10-15 and heres a good rough fomula

    lose 100# +.10 1/4
    gain 10hp +.10 1/4

    So yes something like that

      This is a great starter mod for anyone. Just make sure you get a good quality pulley.

              x2. There is a 3 pully set made by JET (I think) that adds a couple HP. Nice cheap mod for the 3.4. Some people have seen under charging from the alt with this set if they run too many electronics. I have not had such issues.

                  in the case of a crank pulley, i believe it is smaller, and therefore less energy is spent turning engine accessories, so more is sent to the rear wheels

                    I have one, but I dont think its worth it. I only did it because I had to replace my belt. I didnt feel any difference and this a pulley will underdrive your water pump, alternator, etc (not good)... But if it were a weekend/track car I would recommend it...
