Can someone tell me the difference between LS-1, LT-1, and WS6. I also just bought my car, it's a 91 firebird a/t, how do I find out if I have a 3.8 or 3.4?

LS1 - 5.7L (346 ci) V8 in 98-02 F-Body
LT1 - 5.7L (350 ci) V8 in 93-97 F-Body

WS6 is a V8 performance package, not an engine.

91 Firebird has a 3.1L (189 ci) V6
If you're wondering whether you have a V6 or V8, count the intake runners and you should see six or eight.

Yup. I'm just assuming he's got a 3.1L V6, which has individual intake runners that are clearly visible when you pop the hood.

Had a friend with a 92 RS convertible who swore he had a V8 even though you could count 6 intake runners AND spark plugs

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...
