      Re: dual cam

it would say DOHC on the engine. Are you looking at the 3.4s in a junkyard or something?

            Re: dual cam

I would go somewhere else if the tech doesn't know that no F-body has a DOHC

                DOHC on a v6 = 4 cams right?

                2 cams per head?

                  Re: dual cam

they did make 3.4 DOHC, and stopped for a reason. All teh 608 v6's in the 82~95 f-bods are single cam engiines. the DOHCs were inteh fwd cars like grand prixss & monte luminas.

                    Re: dual cam

if it is the technician who is asking, run fast and go some where else.

EDIT: let me tell you why, at a dealership, they have books they quote a price to the technician and allows the tech to have a base price to go by and quote you a price accordingly. So, there is a serious brake down of the simple system if he is asking you how many cams you have. Not even the best technicians will no everything but this is definatly something he shouldn't have to ask you about.

Short and simple your car dosen't have a dual cam. They never made them for the 3.4l camaro/firebird. When i bought my engine in fact which was 2 months ago their was no such thing. And with my own knowledge their isn't one.
