    No clue, but check your fuses in the dash and under the hood. I don't know which one to look for, but alot of them are labeled on the fuse panel covers.

      I pulled every fuse in the car they're all in good condition.

          If the speed sensor broke, wouldn't the tach still work? Did you try wiggling the entire gauge cluster? Maybe a bump knocked it partially out of the plug.

            I dont know, I thought maybe the speed and tach were intertwined.

              yeah i tried to wiggle it, even unscrewed the cluster made sure the plug was in. If it means any thing It was working before I put in the new steering column, thinkk I could've done something wrong or broke something??

                ahhh a new piece to the puzzle, yea it definetly has something to do with your install, check over all the wires to make sure they arent stripped or damaged.

                  cehck the wiring to the vss. I recently had to repair those wires. Not sure if the tach was effected, as the needle had fallen off a while ago :o
