  • its one thing after another

so ive been trying to get this car i bought legal for like three weeks now. been trying to get the cat back system on it. first attempt. tire blew out. no fun. but i got some khumo 255/50 in the back and 225/5o in the front.

then attempt number two. car over heats on way there, smoke coming out the engine. bad radiator cap and coolant is spraying out the resevior cap.

attempt three...fix the cap...pressure test it, bad radiator hose, pressure test again, water pump is leaking.

haha guess thats what i get into buying a 450 dollar car. :) oh well, other than the overheating it runs well, and this just gives me the time to get a flowmaster now.

hehe You know... I haven't had anything like this happen, but I have replaced stuff on my 2000 just to get minor bugs out of it since buying it a year ago.... like replacing front rotors because of minor warping. Now the back rotors feel a bit warped. Now that I have those.... the power window motor on the drivers side is going.... stops every now and then. The rear end has a weird noise, and the garage says its not a wheel bearing.
A maintenence guy at work said "I never work on my own car... once you start, something else will be wrong right after it!" Boy is he right!!!! hahah

Yeah, ive been wanting to replace my cat with a high flow, and a nice cat back. EVERY TIME and I mean EVERY TIME, i start thinking about having it done something else will break on the car or my truck and my money goes there. In fact, 2 days ago i replaced the egr valve on my truck,$79, 2 hours later the compresser started getting really loud and i had to get a complete new system which was $1200. Now thats all on my truck, currently my car wont start it has a bad ignition switch so thats going to be some more $$$. The best advise i can give you is save your money, as soon as you get that nice cat back, your going to need that money for some thing else.
