Just had my A/C charged lil over a week ago...and its no longer cold....Is there a common leak point with our cars? Or do i have some guy go over the whole dang thing....just frustrating to pay for the charging for one freaking week......any light shed on this will be appreciated.

    Re: A/C Issues

If it's a pressure issue, the shop you took it to couldn't have done a great job. They should have used a sniffer or put a leak detector dye in the system to leak check it and fixed any leaks in the system.

You could have a failure in another part of the system, like the compressor clutch or high pressure sensor.

I would go back to whoever did the work on the system and complain about it. Maybe you'll get some free work or parts out of them.

The clutch on my compressor went bad about a month ago... I don't know how common it is otherwise though.

            Re: A/C Issues

it could be a seal or a valve, fairly cheap. It could be the compressor, really expensive. I would guess that they caused the problem by charging on your high side vavle and not just the low side valve. charging on the high side is an almost sure shot way to make that valve leak. you really are just going to have to have it inspected for leaks. sorry.
