  • A Noise!!!!!!!!

Today my camaro started making a noise when ideling...I dont know if its making it when I drive I cant hear anything but the exahaust. The story is yesterday I was going to take my starter to get a new one but something came up and I had to just throw the old one back in. So could I of put the metal "shim" thing back in wrong?? I think it was between the starter and where you bolt it in. I just started and gets louder as I let it sit there. When I hit the starter when the car is running I hear the quick grind noise but I dont hear the other noise, five seconds later its back. What can this be?? I also replaced the front brake pads but I know that cant have anything to do with it.

    Re: A Noise!!!!!!!!

sounds almost like your starter is still engaged. You better get that shim back in there fast

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...
