I had a crank underdrive pulley installed not to long ago on my 95 m5 3.4. (stock alt. pulley) I had absolutely no problems until a few days ago when I installed a monster tach. All of a sudden my voltage started to slowly drop over 2 days, and I started to hear a faint whine come from the alternator, my radio went on and off, now my car wont start, the starter clicks and all my light blink. Do you guys think its the alternator ? if so what kind of alternator should I get ? should I go back to stock pulley ? do I get rid of the tach ?

an alt. will not cause a starter to "click" since it doesnt work untill after your car has started.

I highly doubt you have a stock battery, but i think it is time for a new one

Check on your wiring to make sure there are no ground faults for that new Tach. That could do it also.
