              Re: ****ing brakes

did you use high temp grease on the ends of the brake pads where they meet the spacers? did you change out the old spacers with new ones that come with the pads? did you clean the disks with brake cleaner? did you keep the new brake pads clean while installing?

shouldn't have to use any grease or chemical on the pads themselves. just clean everything and use the high temp grease on the contact points of the pad metal backs. check out a haynes manual of the instructions that come with the pads. you will see what i mean.

also grease the spacer bolts. (under the rubber boots.) if those bolts are old and worn you may need new ones. if they bind then the brakes can't adjust well and the pads will have trouble adjusting and making 'flat' contact with rotor.

if you blead the brakes and got fluid everywhere then again...clean with brake cleaner.
