  • air conditioning problem in 95 'maro

a friend of mine has a 1995 3.4 auto camaro. recently the air started to mess up. when the air is on it will only come out of the top defroster and then bottom vents, nothing comes out of the front vents. is their any known issue with this or does anyone know what i could look for. just in case it matters it dont matter if its heat or what, on air what-so-ever will come out. thanks in advance, forrest.

The problem most likely lies behind the dashboard. There are flapper-doors that can become stuck or the metal arms can get rusty. The vacuum lines behind the temperature control board can come loose, it can be a cracked vacuum line, or the actuator it'self. There are many of potential causes to your friends problem. Take things apart to access the plastic ducting and have a look.

First thing though is to remove the temperature control board and see if there is a line loose. Thats kinda the starting point.

The knobs that you turn to adjust the temperature, fan and direction of air.
