• Will MSD 8.5mm SuperConductor Wires with 90* boot work on a '00 with no problem?

basically it, found a deal on a set of wires said to fit 3.8Ls but has a 90* spark boot... I always hear alot of people ***** about how stuff fits around teh wires, with a 90* angel fit. or is there too little room?

I was able to do it on my 3.4L but not sure about my 3.8L...

just wondering if I am afinding a nice deal for $50

Yep, they worked fine for my 2000, gotta love tubular manifolds. I probably have the same set. Go for it!

I have heard MSD wires are better insulated. I am trying to make sure my car is setup for high underhood heat temps. Many people have had misfires do to the wires wearing out prematurely from excess heat under the hood.

I could care less what size they are as long as they are not smaller then stock just if a 8.5mm MSD superconductor wire costs $50, abotu $10 more then a set of 8mm Taylor wires, and are better insulated then I will go with them.

Anyone else have any thoughts on these?

          For anyone that is interested....

I got them off the best v6 performance site, I think is around... They are the 3.4L aftermarket and have a big 3.8L selection...

          http://www.ammperformance.com/V6Ignition.htm

They are a sponsor of www.fbodyv6.com

But just paid $50, for wires that they normally list for $85.. and frome what I hear from others MSD, makes a much better wire then Taylor.

Not sure if they had any left when I ordered but I placed an order anyways... and for ebayers like me they accept paypal

Eric, did you want a straight boot or a 90* on your wires?

Straight would be cool, but they only list the 90* angle ones for $50... but I can live with 90* ones for the price difference
