• Head Lights!!!!!

Ok, sometimes when I try to turn on my headlights, only the right one will come up. I've figured out that if I pop the hood and remove the rubber cover next to the head light (it says to remove it for manual operation) and twist the dial and then try to turn on the lights, they will usually both come up. What the crap causes this??? It is VERY annoying, especially when its cold or RAINING  !!! Can anyone help????

    BTW: Its a 95 F-bird

First I would check the connection to make sure it is still hooked up tight.

Question do you get a clicking sound from the headlight motor with turned on ??

Second, do both come down when you turn them off ??

Yes, they are connected together tight.

It's not a clicking, its just one click and thats when i twist the knob under the rubber cover.

Yes, they both go down when i turn them off.

Sounds to me like you have a stripped gear in there. The cheapest way to fix it would be to take the headlight assembly appart, and there is a White Plastic spur Gear in there. Look at it and if it is missing a few teeth, rotate it so that it's range of motion with the Worm gear doesn't hit the missing teeth.
