• What is this gasket?

A few months ago I posted that my egr valve was busted. I found the problem. A bolt had come loose. However, the gasket also is blown. I went to several part stores and even a gm dealer but without having the car there to show them they don't know what it is. Can somebody tell me? It is at the bottom of the small pipe just to the passenger side of the motor. You know, that thing that makes changing plugs a b****.

If you can't find the gasket you could always get some gasket maker. They sell it in tubes at advance auto parts or autozone.

I took it to both places but I was on a different car so I could not show them what one it was.

You squirt it along the thing you need to seal and then screw it down tight. It drys and hardens and seals up the spot. You use it a lot when you have custom parts and they don't make a gasket that fits it.

Oh, I thought you meant that the parts store made the gaskets.
