Old 4.6s (autos) you'll beat them with minimum bolt on mods ex: i/e/converter-- 4.6 5 speed? Different story... Newer 4.6s you'll hang with them if they its equipped with aode. I can't see why people would want a freaking mustang GeeTee that is automatic. 5 or 6 speed all the way on any muscle, sports cars.

Save up about $400. Go and buy yourself a nitrous kit. I recommend the sniper kit, you should be able to take them with that.

NOS is overkill for any Mustang GT...my little 3.4 can waste 'em...auto's anyway...can still beat manuals though

Yeah, I love smoking them in my SS, but I drive the V6 most of the time. It kills me to let them drive by me, even thought i'm in my V6.

Nitrous

To be able to beat any mustang gt, that or forced induction will be necessary

As for the older gt's, bolts ons are all thats needed

Will nitrous be OK on a stock motor with 84,000 miles? Will my motor hold up? What HP shot do you recommend?

Dude, you are in the same boat as me and I get the urge to go crazy every once in a while also but consider the primary use of each of your vehicles: The V6 is a real nice reliable driver and the SS is the hot rod, right?

Just do the basic bolt-ons on the V6 and if you get beat by a Mustang GT in your V6, so what? You'll at least surprise him. If you sink the money for major mods into the SS you have "insurance" that they won't beat you in that car.

Just lazy.. I have the D/S but couldnt get the rear end from the 2001 SS so I had to order the LSD and 3.73's from Tbyrn..I want to install everything at once..I took out my nitrous bottle because I want to get a aftermarket fuel pump before I spray even though I have sprayed a couple of times already..

The Hood and box.. I am waiting to get the hood painted and the box doesnt fit under the stock hood.. I dont want to drive around with a silver car and a primered hood.. I could I guess but will need to buy a big metal spoilier to match the hood and primer out the driver side door and get the BMW Fenders on too.. But I dont have a rice burner...

98 and older GTs run low 15s to high 14s. Just get Cold Air Induction,Exhaust, aluminum drive shaft(cause you have the POS 2 piece DS)thats all I had and I ran 14.8s. Ive beaten GTs, and even a couple new ones. And Ive also beaten a couple 5.0s
Its not hard to take the older 4.6.
