  • how to remove 3.4 engine

    I read this thread

    http://www.camarov6.com/cgi-bin/ulti...c&f=1&t=005050

and I wonder if anyone has more tech?

I have a hoist and can take it out from the top. The car has no nose or fenders and the body is junk.

I could also lift the front of the car with my hoist, wrapping a chain around the bumper beam and drop it out the bottom.

I want to do whatever's quickest. If I had a body saw I'd just chop the front end off!

    thanks all!

PS-- anyone need parts? Click here! http://www.camarov6.com/cgi-bin/ulti...c&f=8&t=003654

ah, the joys of owning a third gen ;) , anyways. Assuming that the radiator is removed, that should provide enough clearence to move the motor forward enough to clear the cowl.

The removal is really pretty simple. When I did mine, I took it out from the top. You'll need to remove the radiator and cooling fan. Then, when everything else is unbolted from the frame, it should lift right out.
