  • I think I screwed up my Car...

I used Sea Foam for the first time today (Note: I already searched for my problem and found nothing) I let it burn off/smoke for ten min. the I let it sit for another 10 mins before going to work. My car ran fine until I pulled into the parking lot. All of a sudden my car was stumbing and sputtering with no throttle response whats so ever. On the way home I had the same problem. When I got home I let it idle for another 15 mins to burn whatever was let of the sea foam. Does anyone have a clue what I f'd up????? Should I change my oil? I also used a injector cleaner call k-100-G b/c the guy at Adavnced auto parts showed me how it mixed with gas better than the sea foam did. What the heck should I do???

Only thing I could imagine is that it fouled a plug or something.

Yea sounds like a plug no biggie, thats pretty much like a plug thing, what it does when a wire is bad too, which shouldnt be whats wrong.

well there really isn't a way to tell without pulling them, I'd just go ahead and swap the plugs and be done with it. Not sure how it is on the 3.4 but on my 2.8 I could change the plugs in about 30 minutes

I just pulled 3 of the plugs out. 2 of them are covored in carbon and one is normal. I guess i'm going to head up to summit now to buy some new ones. What other things do you think are screwed up (o2 sensors)????

It definitely could've done something to an oxygen sensor. The last time I used that stuff was right before I needed to change the plugs and sensors anyway. But if new plugs don't get rid of it, take a look at your sensors.

OK I just changed out my o2 sensors and that didn't fix my problem either. Could it be the injector cleaner I used thats screwing stuff up?? I'm going to change my fuel filter once I'm low on gas most likely this weekend when I change my oil as well. Does any one have any ideas on whats wrong with my car???

How did you put the seafoam in? Check the vaccum lines you used (TB or the brake booster) to make sure you didnt accidently crack one putting it back on or taking it off. Its REAL easy to mess the TB vaccum line up.

I used the break booster line on the master cylinder. I'll check it though.
