  • what should my oil pressure be at idle

when the car is warmed up and i am sitting at a stoplight it drops to a little over the 1/4 mark (dont remember what psi that is) it is usually at the halfway at cruising and a lil higher at high rpms. I think this is normal but just want to make sure.
    Thanks guys

Mine is right at the 1/4 mark at idle when it is good and warm (20 lbs) and when I am on the gas it is a little over half way, so I am guessing about 45 lbs. I think most of the 3.8 liters are at 60lbs aren't they?

oil is changed 1500 ago and is full. where did you get that seafoam stuff, how much does it cost, what else improved with it in your engine. sorry about the questions just never heard of the stuff

im with loochy.. seafoam seriously works wonders, and i stand by it.

you can get seafoam engine treatment at your local napa autoparts store. i forget the price, i think 3.50 a can.

i put half the can in with my oil about 1000 miles till my next oilchange. then i put the other half in through my break booster vacuum. seafoam freed up my stuck valve, and fixed an "unsolvable" misfire.

i also added half a can to my gas.. seafoam is the ****

yep, you can get seafoam at orileys or napa or somethimg. im not sure autozone has it. mine doesnt. directions for using seafoam are on the can. its not that hard to follow.

I also use lucas oil treatment with every change. i never have mixed the two into my oil at the same time though. i dont know whether that would be bad or not, ive just never done it, and i wouldnt suggest you try it.
