    Hey, stupid question.

Does anyone have the part number for the fuse box covers under the hood? I have a 98, and managed to lose the cover for the fuse box that contains the headlight motors. I was hoping to order a new one from GMparts direct instead of the dealer.

    Thanks

            1) BigTymer, thanks a lot for the website, however I cannot search for parts by their description, only by their PART NUMBER which I do not have.

2)firebird1, as soon as I find it I will let you know.

3)strange_trp, thanks, however the whole point of this was to avoid making the trip to the dealership.

hehehehe... i know i was being a bit fecetious. when i go in to school tomorrow i can see if alldata lists a part for it. there are two fuse boxes, one has the pcm batt fuse in it and the other has the pcm ign fuse in it (on the 99 anyway) which one do you need?

actually, both covers are the same thing, with the exception of telling you which fuse is which.

i need the "upper" one with the head light fuses

OK, first of all, thanks for your help strange_trp and Big Tymer.

                    Secondly,
The fuse boxes are comprised of two parts. The Cover (same for both boxes) and the labels (each is different).

                    Part Nomen Price
                    12176310 -- Cover -- $10.17
                    15305529 -- (headlight) Label -- $07.07

                    Hope that helps.
