My headlights go up and down fine but when they go down it sounds awful for about 10 seconds. It sounds like the motor keeps trying to pull them down when they already are. I seriously need some help.. Thanks in advance...

its the gear that drives the windows up and down, its a cheap piece of plastic that has been stripped... go to this place order the CNC brass gear replacements and follow the instructions, and be prepared it takes a LONG time...

a friend and i did this to his 98 TA and it took us about 4hrs, because you have to wait for the epoxy to dry, and btw this should go into the tech archive...
