• Question .. please help me out

Ok, I finally have the money, and am ordering the powerpack for my 3.8L Firebird from SSM next week. It will come with the cam, P&P heads, and P&P upper and lower intake. I will also be getting pistons and rods to replace while everything is apart.

And then I am putting on a supercharger on January or Feburary. So with this I have a couple questions.

    1. I am planning on having the PCM reprogrammed, as it suggests this to go with the pack. But I am not wanting to have to program it once for the pack, and then again for the supercharger, and I was told I would if I were to have it done now. So is this true? And if I don't, will the car run crappy with the cam and stuff done to it running on a stock PCM?

    2. The other thing would be what else would you guys recommend I do with this stuff to get the best performance out of it. Or what else would be recommended while everything is apart. Such things like injectors, fuel pump, ... etc etc. Are these needed?

Thanks for ANYONE who helps me with this. If I am just told to search for it, and you are someone that don't mind helping me out a little, please email me to help answer some questions. Thanks.

Yes....I would recommend the 2 more cylinder modification and throw the heads and supercharger out the door.

Ok, ha that was funny. But I'm looking for some intelligent answers here of people who want to help, and not be an *** . Besides it shows your "future" mods as being SSM heads ??? Ok, makes a lot of sense.

Now, anybody with intellegence want to help me here. Thank you.

Ok seriously....I would get a MAFT so you can adjust your A/F ratio and call that good with the P&P heads, intakes and cam. Wait for computer tuning till you get the supercharger. Yes I do have them listed....they are sitting here actually...I was thinking that I might sell them and put the money toward building up a bare LS1 or LS6 block.

i'd suggest tuning after the mods are done

but how much longer are you gonna have to wait to put the SC in after the other parts are installed?

I am putting the first stuff on next month, and the SC on in Jan. or Feb. But I am thinking about buying the stuff and holding on to it until I get the SC and then putting everything on. That way I can just go get the computer done soon after.

Don't know if I can stand having that stuff just sit there though LOL

I am just wanting to make sure I am getting, or doing, everything I need to make the car ready for this stuff. I don't want to miss the little stuff
