Well, I got my car back all repaired, but a few minutes into driving it, the SES light went on again. Seeing as it was 8 pm though, I figured I'd check it at autozone. Turns out to be a code P0404, something about the EGR circuit. However the cars performance doesn't seem to be suffering at all. How serious can this error be and could it be something that I can check without sending it to the mechanic yet again? Hopefully this is nothing major. If only I lived where there weren't emmissions...

Edit: Copy and paste the link

Your EGR valve isn't opening to the position it's being told to. You shouldn't notice any difference in performance, but you may not pass emissions, especially with the SES light.
Try removing the EGR Valve and cleaning off any carbon buildup. If that doesn't fix it, you'll probably need a new one, which is about a hundred bucks from gmpartsdirect.com

I tried that link, but it won't load for me. What's on that page?

Edit: nevermind, I think that because I'm at work and behind a firewall I can't get to that port 9001

Did you copy all that extra stuff that's not part of the link?

It just explains what the error is, and why it's giving you the SES light. Just more in-depth of what I already said.

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...
