  • Weirdest Problem, it killed my batter completely..any suggestions?

Well me and buddy were and still are in the middle of installing component speakers and an additional amp. Anyways we spent a couple of days combined in there, ran some wires through the running boards, pulled out the aftermarket deck, and the door panels...... so we go in the garage today to work on it....My battery is fried, we tried boosting it, it wouldn't kick in. The stock batter has been through a lot, so i went out and bought a new one.

when we actually had power in the car (with the new battery)we noticed what caused my battery to die. My mirror lights, those two little lights with the switches for them on the mirror would not turn off....no matter which way the switch was flipped.. I checked my interior light switch, nothing, no doors were open..still nothing....so what we had to do for now is balance the switch in the middle to keep them off......
has anyone had this problem ever? what should i do about it? Do i take it to the dealer?

    much help would be appreciated......
    thank you

HAHAHAHA... Sorry I find humor in your troubles but I am a valet and I have heard this story many times. What you have to do is:

The round adjuster (to the left of the head lights knob) needs to be adjusted. If you have it up too far, your interior lights will stay on forever (well until your battery dies), and if you have it all the way down, your interior lights wont go on at all. Play around with it and see if it is what the problem is. If not, then its something electrical, prob should have it looked at by a mechanic.
