  • Car wont start AGAIN *UPDATE*

This morning we went to go take the car out and the same thing happened as last time. The motor cranks but no fuel. We replaced the fuel filter 3 days ago and it has been running fine since then. The fuel pump primes. Anyone know what could be wrong with it?

They teach entire semester classes on 'no-start condition' in automotive schools. This could be one of so many problems. First check for spark. Make sure each plug is not cracked or fouled, test and inspect plug wires, coils, ICM, and the wiring and connector on the back of the ICM. If it checks out, go for fuel. Check pressure from shrader valve on the fuel rail, clean injectors, replace filter (which u did). The pump u cannot visually inspect since it's in the tank, but the pressure test will tell you how well it is performing.

Since the car is cranking, you can pretty much rule out most other non-start problems. Your problem is 99% likely to be found in spark or fuel.

There is no fuel from the Shrader valve. It has got to be a fuel system problem. I am thinking there is a clog in the line someplace.

well there could be a pinched line but i doubt it. what else is left if the fuel pump is good? the regulator and injectors....

even with no fuel the fuel pump will hold 12PSI or air in the fuel line

yaeh i ran out of gas one day on the highway lol

looked over and my fuel PSI was at 12 but there was no fuel in the lines when i checked

              umm

we know its a fuel problem

it could be the PCM failing to let the fuel pump turn on after priming.. i have seen this 2 times on the net both time the PCM was replaced

a bad relay somewhere not letting giving the pump power.

              bad pump

              kink in the fuel line

to low voltage to the pump

              fuel pressure regulator ?

Well it was the most obvious thing. The battery . It just didnt have enough juice to start the car. I went out and bought a new one and BAM!!! it starts right up.
