I have a 2000 firebird with 90k on it and a CAI whisper lid and k&n air filter. What do you guys recommend a 180 termo from JET or Hypertech?

A thermostat is a thermostat. Just like a fuel filter, it won't make any difference what brand you get.

There has got to be a difference between E-Murray(Oreilly's) and HyperTech. If not I would want my $$$ back. $4 as compared to what $32?
      My E-Murray broke. :(

no, you get what you pay for.
There has got to be a difference between a $4(Murray) and a $32(HyperTech)!
My Murray is stuck open (after 5000 miles). I dont know anyone with a broken HyperTech.

Hypertech doesn't make their own stats, they just resell someone else's with a huge markup. There's probably only 2 companies at most who actually make them.

Buy a $7 one next time? No need to spend $30

The only difference is that people think expensive ones are better, and are willing to pay for it.

Where do you see 3.8l thermostats for $32? That is crazy, I have sold a few 160* new ones to people on here for like $15 shipped. $32 is a rip off.

But yea just get the one at murray's

I didn't even bother to check prices until now, but a Hypertech thermostat is only $10.

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
