  • ABS Light

    After 10 to 15 mins. of driveing my 96 firebird the abs light will just come on for no reason. So one please help me! :mad:

    check the 3rd brake light. usually when it burns out the abs light will come on.

    current car- 95 Trans am- bolt ons, parked and collecting dust. why? because **** it

          You waited 4 minutes. Might need to be a bit more patient. ;)

          You may have to take it to a shop to have it scanned. They can hook it up to the computer to tell you what the problem is.

            hmm my dad had that problem but on his ford truck. For some reason it ended up being a fuse. Might want to check your fuses see if any of them are blown. Cant remember if it was in the outside ones or the inside.

                you are going to have to take it to a shop and have them scan the ABS system to see where the problem is.

                  well i did a search in other forums and everybody kept talking about the third brake light. I also found this dont know if it helps any.

                    He did say that brake light was fine. ;)

                    He needs to have it scanned. The computer knows what the problem is, just need a scanner to read it.

                      before u do that try taking tha negative battery cable off from tha passenger side wheel well clean up tha connections an bolt an metal around tha bolt, then put it back on make sure its tight an see if that works, i had my abs light stay on for probly 6 month had it checked an there was nothin wrong then i tried this an it work, idk if its tha same problem but its worth trying an it'd be good for your car even if thats not tha problem
