  • Front cover gasket redesign

Has anybody else noticed that there has been a redesign of the front cover gasket for the 3.8? It has changed from a paper gasket to a metal gasket with a rubber seal. The new gasket is approxomitly 15 thousandths thinner than the one it replaces. Just thought I would mention this.

I have gone that far to notice it. Is that like an aftermarket or OEM that replaced an OEM.

I didn't know they changed them. Is it a better design?

Might be but offers even less clearance with a double roller timing chain and machined oil pump cover.
