Im gunna loose it soon...now all of a sudden my car doesnt want to idle unless you are on the pedal...if you turn a corner or use the brakes you watch the rpm go to 500 and just die on me...I just want to fix this damn thing and enjoy it for awhile...whats the deal here?

I should add the AFR's go rich when the idle drops like that...no codes

I'll also add that when the car dies, the only way it will start is if I use the throttle...

Have you tried running it out of SD? Sounds like the pcm is pitching a fit due to the VE tables.

Idle control motor died or needs to be cleaned.

How sure are you? I haven't had a high idle like I've been reading about...? I have had to drive with two feet to keep it running at idle though...

Sounds like Idle Air control to me as well. I think I have a spare TB in the garage if you wanna plug in a different TPS. IAC valve is like $4 IIRC.

I had to do the same thing in my Integra.

I should be driving by you soon maybe saturday, to pick up a spare T5 PM your #

I PM'd ya...I think the sensor will probably be 40$ or so...I f'n stripped one of the bolts holding the SOB in there...I'll probably run over to partsource at 9am, but send me a text anyways...I really hope it is the IAC...Im getting scared to drive this thing...I cant seem to rely on it anymore, its crapping out at the most inoppurtune times. I cant keep being stranded in the middle of intersections.

BTW, she seems to run ok when cold...was just when she was warm that she was having the issue...im guessing because she idles at around 850 when warm...still no codes, and she drives great, no weird sounds etc.

Do you hear the idle control motor working? You can pull the air temp sensor out heat it with a blow dryer then have someone turn ignition on and off but do not start car. Listen to the motor it should make a clicking sound as the air temp sensor cools down the idle control motor will move in. If you have access to a scan tool you can use that too.
