So my car overheated and after checking it out I found the coolant leaking from the heater hose that comes from the intake. I went to the dealer to find the part but its $172 for the hose assembly. I don't need everything, just to fix that hose. Is there a cheaper way to fix it or anywhere online that I can just get that hose cheaper?

Really common problem with the L-shaped tube that connects that hose to the lower manifold. You can find it in the HELP section in the back of most Autozones.

Its not the l shaped tube I've already replaced those before. Its the hose that go on where the tensioner is located. I tried Autozone but they don't carry that hose.

Oh is it the heater hose assembly. That goes to the rear. If it is then you can do what I did and go to a junkyard and hopefully find one, but that one also blew out and started leaking, which I then just had to buy a new one through the dealer ship.

ebay may be your only online option.

They say they have them in stock for the 3.8l so you are going to have to send them a message through ebay. Hope this helps.

This is the only heater hose listed on rock auto.

is it leaking at the connector or is the hose busted?? cause if its the connector then you can just go to auto zone or the like and they have an assortment of O-rings that you can replace.

Its leaking at the connector. I'm waiting til payday to buy it but if I can fix it without replacing it all that would be great.
