whats the difference between the "a/c" and "max" settings on the 00-02.

yeah, max is colder but does it make the compressor work harder? wondering if max is costing me gas mileage, but mostly just curious.

    Re: quick question

A/C cools outside vent air coming in. Max shuts the door and cools the air already in the cabin.

      Re: quick question

Oh, and Max isn't making your compressor work any harder.

        Re: quick question

yup, correct, MAX basically recycles the air, A/C chills new outside air.

if anything, max will not make the compressor work as hard since it is cooling already cool air, but in all reality, the compressor is on 100% of the time when any ac setting is chosen

My Dad who worked for GM for 40 years , always told me to use max on my cars to get it to cool down quicker.

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
