  • Temp Fluctuatin

Hi, car had 62k miles when I bought it, now it's at 77k. Haven't done a coolant flush on it. The temp. used to settle right under 210 *i know the gauge is inaccurate*. Now the temp will fluctuate between 210 and the 3/4 bar. And sometimes it'll touch the tip of the red causing a check gauges lights. I turn the car off while driving, turn it back on.. then it goes back down. I'm guessing a stuck thermostat, but I'm no master at this... help!?!?!

I've had that problem on my old '93. Could be thermostat. Also, check to see if you fan comes on. It may be that your fan isn't coming on, or the sensor that initates the fan may not be working right. With my car, the problem was that computer thought the temp was much lower than it was, so it didn't turn the fan on.
