    A 3.4 is a 3.4 and a 3.8 is a 3.8. Doesn't matter which car it came out of.

Camaro engine as opposed to a Firebird engine? No difference, both motors are exactly the same. Trouble is now figuring out which motor you have. Most '95's came equipped w/the 3.4L V6 delivering 160hp/200ft-lbs. In mid-'95 however, the 3.8L Series II V6 became an option, although it was available w/an A4 (automatic) tranny for that year only & supposedly was only available in California. The 3.8L V6 delivers 200hp/225ft-lbs. Distinguishing among the 2 is fairly easy, since the 3.4L's intake manifold is shaped like a Y, whereas the 3.8L's is straight, similar to the LT1's intake manifold. Also, the 3.4L has '3400 SFI' cast on the right side of the intake manifold, whereas the 3.8L has 3.8L Series II cast on the front of its intake manifold.

Hi, I was wondering if it would be possible for me to take the engine out of a '00 Firebird and put it in my '00 Camaro? Is that possible? What kind of horsepower and torque gains would I see? Is it worth the money?

Both engines regardless of what car it came in are the same, whether it is a firebird or a camaro. Both cars have the same exact engine. 3.4L = 3.4L, 3.8L = 3.8L
